If there's a specific way that you'd like your clients to use the app then it's possible to create a settings template for them. This is a file (JSON format) that they can import into the app so that it will be set up exactly as you advise! No need for detailed set up instructions for your clients - just give them the settings template that you've created and have them to import it into their app following the steps here.
Note: Many fertility awareness training institutes are currently collaborating with us to create official method settings templates that are available via this help centre and will soon be embedded directly inside the app. Please visit this page and/or contact us to see if your institute already has an official template before creating one yourself :)

The steps for creating a settings template are as follows:
1) If you already have your own personal settings & data in the app, start by backing these up then clearing the app to create a blank slate for your settings template
FIRST
EITHER
- Menu > Database > Export > Complete backup (RYB) > Save to iCloud files / Google Drive
- Menu > Database > Export > Photos only (ZIP) > Save to iCloud files / Google Drive
OR
- Menu > Account > Manage backups > Create backup
THEN (IN BOTH CASES)
- Menu > Database > Clear > Select all options in list > Clear > Type ‘delete’ to confirm
-
2) Now go through all of the app's settings and ensure they're exactly as you'd like them to be for your clients
- Menu > Settings > Items to track > Ensure everything that your clients need is enabled and in the order that you prefer (note that we recommend enabling lifestyle custom info in case your clients wish to track things like mood, exercise, etc. and you don't need to worry about intimacy options as these will not be included in the template - intimacy options are personalised to each of your clients per their own selections during the app's welcome flow)
- Menu > Settings > Display options > Fertile window shading > Choose the appropriate option for your fertility awareness-based method (guidance here)
- Data > Gear icons next to all items (for example make sure that fluid categories and temperature settings are as you advise)
-
3) Now export a settings file to create your template
- Menu > Database > Export > Settings only (JSON) > Save as Template.json or whatever name you like
That's it! You can now share this file with your clients along with the import instructions here :)
-
4) If you previously had your own personal settings & data in the app, clear the app then restore / re-import these to continue using the app for your own charting
FIRST
- Menu > Database > Clear > Select all options in list > Clear > Type ‘delete’ to confirm
THEN
EITHER
- Menu > Database > Import > Read Your Body / RYB file - import this first
- Menu > Database > Import > Read Your Body photos / ZIP file - import this second (if you have one)
OR
- Menu > Account > Manage backups > Tap the cloud icon next to the backup you created previously in order to restore it
The app should now be exactly the same as when you started!
